Web analytics

GA4 and Tag Manager tracking you can actually trust.

Clean GA4, Google Tag Manager and server-side tracking setups, so every channel is judged on real conversions instead of guesses.

Web analytics overview

Every marketing decision depends on data. If tracking is broken, Google Ads and Meta Ads optimise toward the wrong actions, reports disagree and budgets move in the wrong direction. That is why I start almost every project with web analytics.

I have worked with 200+ businesses, and correct tracking is the foundation behind the $25M+ in sales generated through the Google and Meta campaigns I have run. The work covers Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), ad platform conversion tags and server-side tracking.

GA4 and Google Tag Manager implementation

I set up GA4 properties, data streams and key events properly, then manage every tag through Google Tag Manager. eCommerce events, lead forms, calls and bookings are tracked with the details you need for reporting.

Server-side tracking and data quality

Ad blockers and browser privacy features hide a growing share of conversions. Server-side tagging and the Meta Conversions API recover much of that data and send cleaner signals to ad platforms, which helps them optimise.

eCommerce and lead tracking

For online stores, I track the full journey: product views, add to cart, checkout steps and purchases with revenue and product details. For lead generation, I track form submissions, calls, bookings and chat enquiries, and connect them to your CRM so you can see which leads became customers.

Privacy-friendly measurement

Consent mode, server-side tagging and careful data sharing help you measure marketing accurately while respecting privacy rules and user choices in markets such as the UK and EU.

Web Analytics FAQs

Straight answers to the questions clients ask most.

What is web analytics?
Web analytics is the measurement of how people find and use your website, and which marketing activities lead to sales and leads. The main tools are Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
Why is my GA4 data different from Google Ads or Meta?
Each platform counts conversions differently, with different attribution windows and models. A correct setup reduces the gaps and makes it clear which number to use for which decision.
What is server-side tracking?
Server-side tracking sends data from a server you control instead of only from the visitor's browser. It is more reliable, less affected by ad blockers and gives you more control over what is shared.
Can you fix an existing GA4 setup?
Yes. Most projects start with an audit of the current setup. I keep what is correct and rebuild what is broken or missing.
Do you set up eCommerce tracking for Shopify and WooCommerce?
Yes. I set up purchase, add to cart and checkout events for Shopify, WooCommerce and custom stores.
Why do I need Google Tag Manager?
Google Tag Manager lets you manage all tracking tags in one place without editing your website code each time. It makes tracking faster to change, easier to test and less likely to break.
How long does a GA4 setup take?
Most setups take one to two weeks, including planning, implementation and testing against real orders or leads. Complex sites with server-side tracking can take longer.
Will better tracking improve my ad results?
Usually, yes. Google and Meta optimise toward the conversions they can see. More complete and accurate data helps their bidding find better customers.
