Search and AI visibility plan: SEO for Google and AI answers

A search engine optimization case study: technical fixes, answer-first content and schema markup so a service business could rank on Google and be cited by AI tools.

The challenge

The business had real expertise and happy customers, but very little organic visibility. Key pages were slow, some were not indexed properly, and page titles did not match what customers actually searched for.

When people asked AI assistants such as ChatGPT or Perplexity for recommendations in its field, the business was never mentioned. AI tools had little clear, consistent information to understand who the business was and what it offered.

This is one of the projects behind the $25M+ in sales that Saifur Saif, a digital marketing specialist in Bangladesh, has helped generate through Google Ads and Meta Ads. Client details are kept confidential.

The approach

Audit, track, launch and test, then scale and report: the same process used on every project.

Audit

Ran a full SEO audit covering indexing, Core Web Vitals, site structure, keyword rankings, content gaps and competitors, and checked how AI assistants described the brand.

Track

Set up Google Search Console, GA4 and rank tracking so organic clicks, rankings and enquiries from search could be measured from the start.

Launch & test

Fixed technical SEO issues, rewrote titles and headings around real search terms, added answer-first sections and FAQs, and implemented Organization, Person, Service and FAQ schema markup plus an llms.txt file.

Scale & report

Expanded content around the fastest-growing topics, kept business information consistent across profiles and directories, and reported monthly on rankings, organic traffic, leads and AI mentions.

The outcome

Result

The site now gives Google and AI assistants clear, structured information about the business, its services and its expertise. That creates the foundation for stronger rankings, featured snippets and mentions in AI-generated answers.

Key takeaways for your business

  • Technical SEO problems can hold back even the best content.
  • Answer-first sections help pages win featured snippets and AI citations.
  • Schema markup and consistent profiles help AI tools recognise your brand as an entity.
  • SEO and GEO work best together, not as separate projects.
